Vanilla Custard

A delicious easy to whip up custard.

 

Ingredients: Sugar; Potato Starch; Skimmed Milk Powder; Vegetable Fat; Whey Powder; Gelling Agent; Preservative; Flavouring and Colourant

  • Recipe:

    150g Vanilla Custard

    500g Cold Milk

    125ml Eggs

    25g Butter

    Servings: +/- 4 x 200g serving bowls

  • Method:

    1. Place 100ml cold milk and the 125ml eggs into a mixing bowl.
    2. Add the 150g custard to the mixing bowl.
    3. Mix to a smooth paste with a whisk.
    4. In a seperate pot bring the balance of the 400ml milk and the 25g butter to boil.
    5. Once boiled slowly add the prepared paste while whisking into the boiling pot and reduce heat.
    6. Continue to whisk until it starts to thicken.
    7. Remove from stove continuing to whisk until thickened.
    8. Pour into desired mould and use as required
